Adopts a new variable static pressure control method—trim and respond (TR)  method and optimizes the variable air volume (VAV)  system of a green building located in Beijing. By measuring and calculating the requests from the terminal units, optimally adjusts the set value of the pipe static pressure and the fan of air conditioning unit automatic frequency conversion as well as maintains the set value in order to ensure one air valve fully opened at least and to minimize the resistance of the air system. Compares and analyses the operating conditions of total air volume in a heating season and variable static pressure. The result shows that the energy saving of the fan is 12.6% under the latter mode, with the same thermal comfort.
